Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy – Neurologic Rehabilitation Lincoln Memorial University | Knoxville, Tennessee
The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Lincoln Memorial University invites applications for a full-time core faculty position specializing in neurologic physical therapy and neuromuscular rehabilitation.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative faculty committed to preparing the next generation of physical therapists through excellence in teaching, scholarship, and professional service. Primary teaching responsibilities will include neurologic physical therapy and neuromuscular rehabilitation content within the graduate DPT curriculum, with opportunities to contribute in other areas aligned with the candidate’s expertise and program needs.
Required qualifications include:
Doctor of Physical Therapy degree or BSPT/MSPT with an academic doctorate
Current Tennessee physical therapist licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure before beginning teaching duties
Relevant clinical experience in neurologic rehabilitation
At least three years of clinical experience as a physical therapist
At least two years of teaching experience in a clinical or college-level setting
Preferred qualifications include:
Academic doctorate such as a PhD, EdD, ScD, or DHSc; ABD candidates will be considered
ABPTS Board Certification in Neurology (NCS) and/or Pediatrics (PCS)
Neurologic rehabilitation credentials such as CSRS, CBIS, PWR!Moves, vestibular certification, LSVT BIG/LOUD, or CEEAA
Additional continuing education or certifications in a relevant specialty
Experience with the CAPTE accreditation process
